Valentines Day at Waveney

Last Friday, over 50 farmers spent their Valentine’s Day morning with us at the Waveney Breakfast Briefing. It was fantastic to see familiar faces as well as many new ones joining us from both sides of the river, all coming together for a catch-up and a hearty meal.

These events are open to all, and we encourage anyone with an interest in farming to get involved—whether you’re a member or not. You can keep track of our upcoming events through the events tab on our website.

A big thank you goes to One Broker for their generous sponsorship, which made the event possible. Their support was invaluable in bringing together such a fantastic group of professionals for a morning full of insightful discussions. We also want to extend our thanks to Peter Cox, who delivered an engaging presentation on the importance of collaboration within the farming community. His talk provided practical advice on how farms can work together to share resources, reduce costs, and even generate profits—a message that resonated with many of our attendees.

After Tim’s insightful presentation, Fram Farmers' specialists Barry Howard and David Wilson took the opportunity to share their expert perspectives. Barry, our Head of Crops, provided an in-depth look at the current state of the grain markets, equipping farmers with valuable information to make informed decisions in a volatile pricing environment. With Barry’s guidance, Fram Farmers ensures that members stay connected to market shifts through channels like WhatsApp alerts and our ‘Grain in Five’ podcast, delivering concise updates that cater to busy schedules.

David Wilson, our Crops Specialist, outlined how Fram Farmers plays a crucial role in alleviating the administrative burdens of farming operations. By offering support in areas like paperwork and procurement, Fram Farmers acts as a reliable partner. David also spotlighted our early order forms, a key tool designed to help farmers stay proactive, secure better deals, and receive timely advice to make the most informed purchasing choices.

At Fram Farmers, we understand the pressures of running a farm and are committed to offering services that ease those burdens. Our aim is to take care of the administrative side of things so that our members can focus on what matters most—managing their farms. By working with Fram Farmers, you gain access to a wealth of expertise and resources designed to help you make informed purchasing decisions and enhance your business operations.

Once again, we would like to thank everyone who attended the Waveney Breakfast Briefing and express our sincere gratitude to One Broker for their sponsorship. We hope the event proved valuable, and we look forward to supporting you in making more informed decisions for your farm.
